I DO NOT always comment when I add a favorite or a watch. When I do give a critique, it is usually very in-depth and often consists of more criticism than praise (constructive criticism, but criticism nonetheless). Sometimes I favorite things just because I like them (I don't always know why I like art - some of it just appeals to my aesthetic senses), and I'm not going to waste anyone's time with shallow flattery. If you hound me for comments on favs, I WILL remove your work from my favorites, no matter how much I may like it. You are not a special snowflake.
On the other hand, I DO thank people for taking the time to look at and favorite my work, and I visit the page of EACH and EVERY deviant who favorites my work to say thanks. IF YOU DON'T WANT THANK-YOUS ON YOUR PAGE, DO NOT FAVORITE MY WORK. If you didn't read this before faving - not my problem. I am being polite and civil by taking the time to visit your page and thanking you for your appreciation. If your favorite is truly meaningful and not just being used as a placeholder, this should not be a problem. If you absolutely hate simple politeness that much, hide the message and move on with your life. Don't start drama.

I'm not dead. It may seem like it - I haven't posted a journal or any art in months, I know. In fact, I don't think I've appeared more or less completely inactive since July. I haven't been; I've just had some trouble finding my muse, you could say. Just so you guys know, though - just because I'm not posting anything or updating journals doesn't mean that I'm not on deviantART anymore; I'm still on here more or less every day (or every few days, at least), so if you need to comment or chat or whatever, I am still here, even (likely) six months from now when this journal is still sitting here un-updated.

I was going through some photos and stuff today and it occurred to me that I haven't put anything new on DA since February! The time just gets away from me lately. I'm sure everyone is probably tired of hearing that, but I can't explain it any better than that. I just have so many things popping up lately. Earlier today, I went to see a production of the musical Chicago starring ~ScottEquus91 (https://www.deviantart.com/scottequus91) and it was awesome! I am looking forward to seeing it again next week.
