A long-overdue update

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 13, 2011, 8:15 PM

I'm not dead.  It may seem like it - I haven't posted a journal or any art in months, I know.  In fact, I don't think I've appeared more or less completely inactive since July.  I haven't been; I've just had some trouble finding my muse, you could say.  Just so you guys know, though - just because I'm not posting anything or updating journals doesn't mean that I'm not on deviantART anymore; I'm still on here more or less every day (or every few days, at least), so if you need to comment or chat or whatever, I am still here, even (likely) six months from now when this journal is still sitting here un-updated.

I've just hit an artistic rut.  I've just updated my PhotoShop, though, so hopefully I'll be getting back into doing some artwork.  Most notably, I've had several people who have expressed the idea that I should try working some of my photography in HDR.  I think I'm going to attempt that, so be on the lookout for it.  I'd be grateful for a few pointers from anyone who is somewhat knowledgeable of HDR photography.

I'm still working, and I'm hoping to start school again next fall (if financial aid goes as planned - or maybe I'll just have to pay for one or two classes here and there as I can afford it), but no guarantees.  In the meantime, be on the lookout for my (likely sad and pathetic) attempts at new styles and whatnot.  I may even grow bold enough to try doing some anthro drawings - who knows.  I'm still working on my fanfiction, but as I've mentioned before, it's on fanfiction.net for now, since DA is not literature-friendly enough to provide a sensible text editor.  I still want to shout out to my three musketeers, :iconakelamoonstone:, :iconpandinus: (who I don't really see much anymore - where'd you go, man?), and :iconharmonicsonic:.  I also want to give a :glomp: to my love, :iconxxneoqueenxx:.  I love you, sweetheart.

I don't have much else to say in the way of updates, but I'm not quite dead! (You're not foolin' anyone, you know.)  I'm getting better!  (Nonsense, you'll be stone dead in a moment.)  I feel happy.... I feel happy - duhf!

Peace out!
-Wolf :D

!!! WARNING !!!

I DO NOT always comment when I add a favorite or a watch. When I do give a critique, it is usually very in-depth and often consists of more criticism than praise (constructive criticism, but criticism nonetheless). Sometimes I favorite things just because I like them (I don't always know why I like art - some of it just appeals to my aesthetic senses), and I'm not going to waste anyone's time with shallow flattery. If you hound me for comments on favs, I WILL remove your work from my favorites, no matter how much I may like it. You are not a special snowflake.

On the other hand, I DO thank people for taking the time to look at and favorite my work, and I visit the page of EACH and EVERY deviant who favorites my work to say thanks. IF YOU DON'T WANT THANK-YOUS ON YOUR PAGE, DO NOT FAVORITE MY WORK. If you didn't read this before faving - not my problem. I am being polite and civil by taking the time to visit your page and thanking you for your appreciation. If your favorite is truly meaningful and not just being used as a placeholder, this should not be a problem. If you absolutely hate simple politeness that much, hide the message and move on with your life. Don't start drama.

People who troll/flame me and/or my artwork will have their grammar corrected!

Thank-Yous

I am very appreciative of people who thank me for favorites! I would never tell people not to thank me for favoriting their work. However, because I like to keep track of actual conversations here when people comment to me, I'll probably hide the thank-you messages. In other words, your thanks are gratefully received, but if your only purpose in leaving a thank-you message is self-promotion (as I know is the case for some), then you're probably wasting your time. ;)
